Enterprise Development Programme

Enterprise Development Programme

Aspire launched our Enterprise Development Programme in May 2019, designed to offer intensive, specialist advice to anyone experiencing barriers to self-employment who would like to find out more about starting up a new business.

We're supporting people to develop their skills in starting up a wide range of businesses, including photography, boxercise, restoration, life coaching, beauty therapy and so much more!

If you have a fantastic idea for a business and would like some help to take your first steps, then we can offer the following support:

  • Regular "Thinking of running a business" courses to provide practical advice on getting started
  • Supportive Business Clubs running every other Thursday from 10-3 at Aspire
  • Business Clubs feature guest speakers with hands-on experience of setting up their own businesses
  • Mentoring programme designed to offer ongoing support
  • Our clubs and courses provide friendly and accessible information targeted to your needs
“Practical course with great individual support in which ever area you need it. Reassuring.”

Natalie

Interested? If you would like to find out more about Aspire's regular Business Clubs or courses then contact Sophie, our Enterprise Development Programme Manager, at [email protected]

Partnership working with Oxfam GB

As part of our Enterprise Development Programme, Aspire is delighted to be working in partnership with Oxfam to provide one to one business mentoring at the Oxfam Superstore, to support female social entrepreneurs. This also links into Aspire's wider work with refugees on our Future Skills programme for those who want to explore setting up their own business.

Get Involved

If you would like to become a speaker at one of our regular Business Clubs or provide mentoring support, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact Sophie at [email protected] to find out more.

Aspire is an Oxfordshire based charity, Wallingford School's student leaders would really like to help a local charity as we feel that supporting a local charity will help spread awareness of these issues in Oxfordshire as well as giving back to the community. They empower people facing homelessness and poverty in Oxfordshire. We are proud to have this opportunity to contribute support to Aspire's Christmas Appeal.
