Colin left the RAF in February 2018. As a single person, this departure meant that Colin found himself both without a job and without a home.

Eventually finding somewhere to live and starting up his own business, Colin again found himself without a place to live following the passing of his landlord, and subsequently closed his business.

Colin was signposted to Aspire, where he received support with housing, employment and encouragement to get involved with Mission Motorsport, attending a variety of social events organised for veterans with similar lived experience.

"With all of Aspire’s help and encouragement, I have a place to live and a full-time job working at the John Radcliffe Hospital as a maintenance engineer with Bouygues - a job I am enjoying!”

The progress achieved by beneficiaries like Colin is why we are so proud to continue our ex-military pathway support - endorsed by the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme.
