By bringing together local community partners we're able to offer you a fantastic range of activities designed to help you take positive steps towards a bright future. Here's what we can offer: 121 employment mentoring and coaching to help build your confidence ready for the workplace, in order to move into meaningful work, education, work experience, volunteering and activities Led by your interests, passions and goals, we offer support around CVs, training, applications for apprenticeships, jobs (including Kickstart opportunities), funding, Universal Credit, accessing mental health support, accessing activities which may include sport, social or support groups Access to work experience placements in retail, creative industry e.g. film, catering, sport, hospitality, warehousing, grounds and property maintenance or construction Accredited qualifications in a range of subjects Industry taster days Access to sports and social activities A dedicated plan that's based around your needs “This project has pushed me to reach my goals in the job that I want to eventually get. It's wicked!” Jason Unlocking Potential The Unlocking Potential project is being delivered by Aspire and BYHP (Banbury Young Homeless Project), significantly experienced community partners across Oxfordshire with a strong track record of reaching, engaging and empowering young people NEET (not in education, employment or training for 6+ months) towards, into and during employment, training and education. Oxford City Council is the Lead Organisation and brings its compliance and governance expertise to support and enable the project partnership. Unlocking Potential is part of the Building Better Opportunities programme. The National Lottery Community Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.
