Sustainability at Aspire

Our Approach - "One Planet Living"

"One Planet Living is a vision of a world where we can live happily within the Earth’s resources, and a straightforward framework to achieve this"

Aspire are proud to be stepping up our commitment to environmental sustainability by partnering with award-winning sustainability charity Bioregional and making a commitment to following their One Planet Living framework, comprising 10 simple principles that cover all aspects of social, environmental and economic sustainability:

Our Projects

Inclusive Sustainability through One Planet Living Community Champions

We are excited to share that Aspire has embarked upon a new strategic approach to help realise a more inclusive and sustainable local economy for Oxfordshire. In partnership with Bioregional, a new project has recently been launched under the One Planet Living framework, which is all about living within the natural limits of our planet…

Aspire is delighted to have recruited a part-time One Planet Living Community Champions and we are very pleased to introduce Michelle Charlesworth in this role. Michelle will be taking the lead on creating, implementing and embedding action plans to achieve environmental sustainability in organisations and communities using this Framework.

We are also growing a network of Community Champion Volunteers to work with Michelle, with the first group set to complete One Planet Living training with Bioregional during November 2020.

Aspire is an Oxfordshire based charity, Wallingford School's student leaders would really like to help a local charity as we feel that supporting a local charity will help spread awareness of these issues in Oxfordshire as well as giving back to the community. They empower people facing homelessness and poverty in Oxfordshire. We are proud to have this opportunity to contribute support to Aspire's Christmas Appeal.
