Coinciding with World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day, this morning event - led by Aspire and Connection Support on behalf of the Oxfordshire Homeless Alliance - is a timely and important opportunity for representatives from Oxfordshire’s local authorities, registered providers and support agencies to come together to share learning, improve understanding and encourage working together to realise an effective approach to homelessness prevention. It will be followed in the afternoon by an event organised by Oxfordshire LEAF (Lived Experience Advisory Forum).


Alliance prevention meeting (9am-12pm)

  • Oxfordshire Homeless Alliance meeting on homelessness prevention

  • The opportunity to explore the latest trends and policy recommendations for effective homelessness prevention in England

  • Sharing learning and best practice from other areas across the country

  • Practical presentations from local partners about their homelessness prevention services and the value they bring

  • Inspiring case studies sharing the lived experience of clients who have benefited from prevention services in Oxfordshire

  • Facilitated discussions to share learning to help identify and remove barriers to adopting an effective countywide approach

  • An opportunity to network with other delegates


LEAF interactive event (1pm)

  • Presentation and delivery of findings and emerging themes from the Oxfordshire LEAF (Lived Experience Advisory Forum)'s recent Festival of Feedback’ and Storytelling event

  • Interactive workshop focused on aspirations and tapping into the wider community of people experiencing homelessness
