Community Employment Support Project (CESP) Community Employment Support Project (CESP) Building on the local partnership working, the empathetic community level response and volunteer mobilisation that has arisen in our communities during the COVID-19 crisis, Aspire is pleased to offer a pilot Community Employment Support Project. The project’s aims are to enable individuals who are struggling to access education, training and employment support opportunities, to link them up with appropriate help through regular attendance in community settings. Community settings will initially be in Barton, Blackbird Leys and Rosehill, allowing individuals either to access Aspire project support or wider community initiatives. The CESP team is working with both the voluntary sector in Oxford City and with professional training organisations to develop and enhance current volunteering roles as 'Community Connectors'. Community Connectors aim to help people in their local area, to build links and to form meaningful support networks, through person-centred conversations and one-to-one support. This project is funded by Oxford City Council. Find out more For more information about this new project, contact Rosa Curness at [email protected] or on 07931 400 108.
